Day N Night

Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Chance the Rapper

The second annual Day N Night Festival by Observatory brought over 90 artists to the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California for three days in September 2017. Headliner artists included Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Chance the Rapper taking the stage. Tens of thousands of fans entered the gates Friday to Sunday, further cementing Day N Night into Orange County’s list of most prominent and successful annual music festivals.

Director’s Cut produced social media content for Observatory from pre-production through to delivery with a crew of four camera operators and an on-site editor. The videos created were utilized in social media marketing channels and kept on file for promotion of Day N Night 2018.

Larte Design’s latest tuning kit for the Maserati Levante improves where it didn’t seem possible. Enhancing the visuals of the Levante was an undertaking that Larte tackled head on with striking results. Director’s Cut captured the new “Shtorm” kit through both video and photo production featuring Larte’s installation engineer direct from Russia, where the international company is based. Usages included Facebook, Instagram, and website marketing to engage with their fans from Moscow to Irvine.

Lamont Ferguson Comedy Special

Award-winning, international headliner comedian, Lamont Ferguson set out to produce his first comedy special in 12 years. He has made an appearance on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central and Comics Unleashed along with being the opening act for George Carlin, Steve Harvey and George Lopez.

Ferguson’s Aged Out special was captured by a five camera live production in Carlsbad, California.

As the Orange County School of the Arts continues to grow in Santa Ana, the need to expand into other regions of California became clear. The California School of the Arts in the San Gabriel Valley was the first sister school to OCSA to open. Like OCSA, the new school holds Preview Day events for prospective students to visit the school and learn more about the available programs. CSArts-SGV approached us to produce a video for each of their 10 conservatories that are used for Preview Day presentations, social media channels, and the CSArts-SGV website.
